Tips for Finding Lake of the Ozarks Boat Rentals

The Lake of the Ozarks is a 93-mile lake that demands your attention.  You can’t have an authentic Missouri vacation without first traveling on the great reservoir.  You don’t need to buy a boat.  In fact, it’s far easier to just pay a small fee every time you travel so that you can focus on enjoying yourself while you leave the maintenance to someone else.  What are some of the things you can do on the lake?  You can sightsee the area, quickly transport yourself across the lake (rather than walking half a day) and can enjoy the experience of being on the water.

What type of boat rental should you order?  It depends on what you want to do on your vacation.  If you want to experience the thrill of a sixty-mile-per-hour watercraft then order a waverunner.  These Yamaha-produced vehicles are your own personal thrill ride on the water.  If you have a group of friends that aren’t used to water travel, then order a pontoon, which is similar to a tour boat.  If you have a larger party then go with the yacht.  It’s flashy, yes…but no one’s ever complained about a yacht party!

What if you want to do some quality fishing when you arrive at a Lake of the Ozarks vacation?  Then you can choose between a Fishing Tri-Toon, a Center Console, a Fishing Deckboat and a Bass Boat.  Tritoons are the slowest ride, while bass boats are made to be fast and powerful—strong enough to hold 1-3 anglers at once.  You can also opt for a mid-level boat that’s affordable and fast enough.  A deckboat, a runabout and a speedboat are popular options for fishing and sightseeing.

Contact Iguana Sports for more information on popular boat rentals.  There are four locations in the Lake of the Ozarks area from our Headquarters location at the Bagnell Dam Strip to as far as the Sunset Beach Resort  or Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Grill.
